A Picture For You All

A picture is worth a thousand words. But not an equalizing goal.

The most ridiculous call I have ever seen. A goal down with no time to play, they equalize, but it is called back. They were robbed of a fairytail entry into the final. The foul on De Guzman was pretty ridiculous also. In all honesty though, what was Onstad doing in nets? Christ if they needed a goalie so badly my 7 year old brother would have been up to it, he probably would have done a better job too. When is this guy going to retire?! Forrest please come back, even with your limiting injury, you are still the best. Anyway the fact of the matter is Canada gets screwed every time they play an international, it doesn’t matter who they play, and it doesn’t matter where. Until they get some more exposure and more of a fan base, you can expect to see more of these phantom calls. Really and truly though, a decent complaint should have been made out to CONCACAF and all of Canada should have stood behind it. That would never have happened though, as many Canadians tend to support the the country from which their parents or grandparents are from. As a matter of fact, some Canadians, Montrealers in particular, don’t even know we have a national team. They all yell Forza Italia, or something of the sort for “their” respected country. Don’t ask me why, I think it is bogus as well, but that’s the truth. I wish these people could visit “their” countries and see why their ancestors moved to Canada, maybe then they will learn to appreciate Canada more.
