Next friendly set (PS, expect a loss)
After the disappointing loss to Jamaica on January 31st, Canada finally has a friendly date with a top nation (one that has actually won a World Cup, 2 actually).
The Canadians are set to take on Diego Maradona’s Argentina in Buenos Aires on May 25.
What does this game matter to each team? Well, for Argentina this is most likely going to be an experimental side (Oh God I hope so) which will include 4 or 5 starters in Maradona’s 11 (out of the 436 different players hes called up the last year!). This is a pre-World Cup warmup for them so a win should be expected. But noone will care if they win, or lose… they will probably win though.
For us Canucks? Jeez, we should just relish in those 90 minutes in Argentina, finally thankful for playing a strong team. At least now TSN will have these highlights at the end of their show, instead of a 3 second spot. Expect the usual side, hopefully with some MLS players, who’ll try their best to (unlikely) bring down the Argentinian spirit. 4-2 loss against Brazil was a win to me!
More news, if any, as it develops in Canadian soccer!
Good luck to Canada! Who knows, with the current Argentina team, anything is possible.
Thanks for the support Seth! Yes! Someone actually reads the Canadian blog!

My mistake, 3-2 loss to Brazil! Even better!
